Past Runs 2011Here is a selection of rides for this year. Kulkami This was an awesome private property with sandy tracks through mallee and pine scrub land. There were a few nice hillclimbs involved to make it interesting too! We hadn't used this property for a while so trying to find the old tracks and carve them back in was half the fun. We didn't get a big turn out to this one with with the biggest ride being about 12 bikes on the Sunday. We had a great loop set up by the end of the weekend that took around half an hour to complete which may be a sweet Pony Express track on our return. All in all a very nice property to have back on the list!
Coggies at Easter Another successful weekend at Coggies with plenty of riders in attendance plus some visitors. Kids had a great time riding the small track near camp and the big kids had a great time in the scrub too. With it being a 5 day weekend some came and went but quite a few showed up for the informal Pony Express on the Monday with around 10 teams having a go. Afterwards there was also a barrel race to mix it up for a bit of fun where a few gave everyone a good laugh! Another successful Ariel event!

The Junior Track
Edlands
This was a brilliant two day ride put on by one of our members, leading us around his local tracks in the east of S.A. with around 120km on the Saturday and 50-60km on the Sunday. This is becoming an annual event that we all look forward to! Tracks ranged from tight twisting mallee, to flowing sand, to long open whoops with the only let down being the dusty conditions, although had it been wet I don't think anyone would have come home again! We had a good turn out for this one and we all loved it. There was even some great campfire entertainment to be had thanks to a member who got into the "spirit" so to speak.
Our fearless leader!
Trail Blazing.
Not only can he lead a top ride but he can build one hell of a bonfire too!
Mallee Masters Trailride
The once a year MM trailride is an event the club puts on that is open to the public and this year was a great success. It is a fully catered event from brekky on the Saturday through to lunch on the Sunday with fuel back up and bike trailers supporting the riders out on the trail. Saturday was 140km's of single track this year with a great mix of tight twisty sections, fast whoops and some nice flowing tracks with some natural terrain jumps mixed in. Needless to say everyone was spent by the end of the day and the schnitzel dinner and a few drinks were very welcome. Sunday was a shorter day with around 80km's covered and a fair mix of terrain once again which also included some sandy 4wd tracks and a couple of little sandy hill climbs. Here are the pics and footage.
